Silverdapple sat in the clearing, gazing up at the stars. I cannot do this. This time Darkfur isn't going to get lucky, I just know it! She's being ridiculous! The warrior thought, her claws unsheathing. Silverdapple sighed, Where's Oakstep when I need him? She turned her head to the warriors' den, assuming her mate was sleeping like most- if not, all- of her Clanmates. "What am I going to do?" Silverdapple whispered, looking back at the stars and thinking about her sister's newest 'plan'.

Dapplestar awoke from her sleep with a start. The young leader couldn't shake the feeling of dissatisfaction that came over her whenever she tried to close her eyes again nor could she particularly remember why she woke up so suddenly. With a slightly weary sigh, she rose to her paws and glided out of her den, deciding to question the stars, only to find Silverdapple seeming to do the same. Quietly, she padded forward to sit beside her clanmate and gazed up unto the gleaming stars of silverpelt. "Something wrong?" she questioned softly, glancing briefly at the other cat out of the corner of her eyes.

Silverdapple jumped in surprise when she heard Dapplestar's voice. The warrior gulped nervously and her blue eyes widened. "Umm.. I uhh.." She stuttered, not knowing whether or not to tell the leader. I have to. I can't let Darkfur do this! It's too dangerous! Silverdapple decided firmly. She took a deep breath and meowed, "Yeah. My sister and I found a fox family's tunnel. She wants to go and kill one of them with me to brag and whatnot. There's no way we can fight and kill one without the others coming to help and it's just too dangerous! I don't know what to do!"

Dapplestar let out a sharp hiss of annoyance. What in StarClan's name was wrong with that cat? It killed her to be so helpless when it came to her clanmates and their actions. Darkfur was going to get herself killed if she kept trying to pull stunts like this, that she was sure of. Not only that, but she had tried to drag her sister down with her. And if either one of them got killed, the other would be crushed.
Gently, she set her tail on the other she-cat's shoulder. "Thank you for telling me Silverdapple, but next time, tell me right away. I'll lead a patrol to investigate and come up with a plan to drive them out after I take care of Darkfur," she mewed hissing the last part. "Putting herself in danger is bad enough, but she put the whole clan in danger with this mouse-brained idea."

Silverdapple nodded and relaxed. "Thank StarClan! I definitely will tell you right away next time. You just relieved a lot of my stress, Dapplestar." She dipped her head to the SkyClan leader, "Thank you."
After looking at the stars again for a few moments, Silverdapple looked at Dapplestar and tipped her head to the side slightly, "How do you think the other Clans are? I have this weird feeling about ShadowClan right now.." All of the Clans are being pretty silent, come to think of it.. Silverdapple thought warily, her fur beginning to rise in fear.

Dapplestar snorted in amusement at Silverdapple's comment. She was sure that she hadn't meant it to be funny, but it was none-the-less. "Silverdapple m'dear, I always have a weird feeling about ShadowClan," she mewed in amusement before answering seriously. "Hopefully, with newleaf, there will be a little peace even with ShadowClan lurking around. We shouldn't relax ourselves completely, but I'm confident that if they start trouble, SkyClan will be strong enough to take them." The young leader looked confident and sure of herself as she spoke, clearly proud of her clan.

Silverdapple closed her eyes in embarrassment and purred for a moment before opening her eyes again and looking at the leader as Dapplestar was serious. She nodded, "Yeah. I may be bad at fighting but I'd always try my best for SkyClan." She paused for a few moments before speaking again, "I know Darkfur's always planning or performing stupid things and she's lucky she hasn't been killed yet but.. I want you to know that her intentions are always for the Clan. Remember when we were kits and Darkfur fell from the edge of the camp wall? We were trying to get to the cave because Darkfur thought she'd seen prey so she wanted to bring some back for the Clan."

Dapplestar nodded, tilting her head softly. "That's all I can ask for from my warriors," she mewed, closing her eyes as she listened to Silverdapple speak of her sister. "I know. Darkfur can be a real thorn in my side, but I know she tries to do things for the good of the clan. I just wish she'd think first. In the end, I think she'd find that her schemes would hurt more than help, and as leader, that's not something I can stand by and let happen. Its a lesson I dearly hope she doesn't have to learn the hard way." The tortoiseshell she-cat sighed, worry in her eyes.

Silverdapple was happy for she felt like a strong part of her Clan. A Clan... The life my mother, her mother, and several before us have known. This forest belongs to the Clans, yet it hasn't for a very long amount of time... It sure feels like it has. She knew that the previous leaders just recently lost their lives, so nine lives prior had been the beginning of the Clans.
Silverdapple shook her head, embarrassed that she'd spaced out. She'd heard Dapplestar's words but hadn't processed them and they were just starting to catch up to her. "Right.." The warrior mumbled, blinking a few times and finally recollecting herself. "I agree. Darkfur needs to learn fast.. I wish she had long ago, when she almost died. I think she just assumes everything will always turn out okay, which isn't reality."

Dapplestar gave the other she-cat a gentle nudge. "If it wasn't for you, who knows where she'd be. You're a good sister, Silverdapple and a good clanmate. Any leader would be proud to have you in their clan," she complimented. It was one way to make sure her warriors worked hard. They had to know how important they were to the clan, every one of them working together to make it what it is.

Silverdapple blinked in appreciation, "You're a great leader so far, Dapplestar. SkyClan will flourish under your reign." She meowed in reply. The worst thing a Clan could ask for was a horrible leader. Dapplestar definitely seemed to already know what she was doing, in Silverdapple's opinion. "Ya know, it's amazing how our ancestors all came together like this."

"Thank you, Silverdapple," Dapplestar mewed dipping her head. A warm feeling spread through her chest, one that she usually got when she could tell that her clanmates appreciated her. "Yes, it truly is. And one day, we will look down upon the future warriors and leaders of SkyClan as they wonder the same thing." The thought filled her with another jolt of pride and happiness. Her clan flourishing for moons to come. It was a dream come true. "How do you feel about a late night hunt?" she asked, stretching.

"Yes! It'll definitely be wonderful." The thought of being part of StarClan's ranks excited Silverdapple slightly. Only slightly because she loved being alive and her life was good, as per her standards. I know our many of our ancestors lived like loners and rogues but I don't know how they ever managed without being a large group. She thought, spacing out again. Silverdapple nodded distractedly before finally fully coming back to reality, "A late night hunt sounds great!"

"Great," Dapplestar mewed, licking her lips. She gave herself another long stretch, digging her claws into the ground as she did so, before she jogged off on long legs, eyes shining. Her ears perked the moment they left camp, and her jaws parted in hopes of scenting prey.

Silvedapple followed the leader closely for a few moments before swerving. She paused for a split second, looking up at a tree, then leaped up, her powerful hind legs pushing forcefully off the ground. Silverdapple's foreclaws unsheathed and sank into a branch of the tree and her hind paws latched on as well.
The warrior pulled herself up and took a break for a moment. She sat and looked around for a wandering squirrel or bird to catch. Upon sight of a squirrel, Silverdapple silently burst after it and the chase began for the squirrel had noticed her.
"Mrroww!" Silverdapple yelped. She was far too absorbed with catching the squirrel to notice a decent-sized gap between one tree to the other and she fell.
"Oof.." The she-cat grunted. Silverdapple had barely managed to land on her paws and she felt pain pulse in her head. "Now I've a headache because of that dumb squirrel.." She muttered, glaring up at waving leaves where the squirrel had been.
