Sliding up near the border, about fox length away, Hawkpaw crouched, Flamepaw next to him and slightly in front. He didn't like the bramble-like dense area that was ThunderClan's forest, and he knew Flamepaw didn't either. Mintpaw crouched behind them, but, Hawkpaw and Flamepaw had an odd kind of disregard for their sister, and therefore he had no connection with her and didn't know hoe she felt.
For Mintpaw, her world was coming alive. The scents around her brought her alive, but, she pushed it away. She copied her litter-mates intense crouch, but, couldn't hear Flamepaw and Hawkpaw's whispered conversation. Then they slunk back a bit and Flamepaw whispered, "We smell fox." Mintaw would have let out a gasp of surprise were she not scared. Hawkpaw nodding in his ever backing of Flamepaw. Now that Mintpaw thought about it, the fox scent was rather fresh, but, upwind a ways, in ThunderClan's territory. Mintpaw glanced at her siblings but, they were flashing glances at each other and Mintpaw couldn't read them.
Flamepaw nodded, glancing around at her small team. "We'll stay here by the border, and if we hear a fight we'll aid it. If it comes into ShadowClan territory, we'll tell Miststar. If we see a ThunderClan cat, we'll tell them. We won't cross the border." She meowed. Hawkpaw gave a sharp nod. They'd already both known this in the glances they'd sent each other. Mintpaw nodded shakily, but stopped shaking, trying to prove herself though Flamepaw and Hawkpaw were oblivious to it.
Mintpaw watched Flamepaw slid forward, Hawkpaw behind and to the right of her. She forced herself to stop trembling. Her siblings weren't afraid, so she wouldn't be. Hawkpaw and Flamepaw were hurriedly whispering again, nodding, and other signals passing between them. Mintpaw felt left out, but was determined not to let it show.

Leaf and Moon were running, trying to get farther away from the place where the rouges had attacked. Leaf stopped when she smelt something odd, and Moon stopped to stare at her sister. A silent conversation flashed through their eyes. I smell something odd...Do you think it might be rouge? I hope not. What if it is? Then we run. I told you there was a good reason for running, but their 'conversation' was interrupted by a rustling. What jumped out of the bushes was definitively not a rouge. It was a fox, and it started attacking the sisters. Leaf yelped loudly, not sure how to handle the situation. Neither Moon nor Leaf knew how to fight. After all they didn't need to until two days ago, when the rouges attacked. The she-cats jumped on the fox, trying to get it to leave.

The fox was probably more shocked then afraid, and it snarled, trying to shake off the two she-cats. It was young, a bit small, but, old enough to go out on it's own and it was strong. It let out a yowl of outrage, trying to throw the cats off.
At the first yelp, Mintpaw leaped to her feet. Terror shook the small she-cat, but she was shaken out of it, surprised Hawkpaw and Flamepaw weren't having a silent conversation. Flamepaw was speaking, her voice grim. "That cat was younger then us. You can tell by the voice." Hawkpaw nodded, and as soon as the second yowl split the air, her siblings didn't care that they were sprinting into another clan's territory. Mintpaw froze as they disappeared over the border. But.... She had to help, didn't she? Should she? Feeling her stomach fall to her paws, she sprinted after her siblings.
Her paws skidded as she saw the fox and the two cats. Mintpaw saw Hawkpaw and Flamepaw hanging back, teeth bared, fur raised. Mintpaw almost yowled "Why aren't you helping?" but she knew. Flamepaw and Hawkpaw were all about strategy. And they had a reason, even if Mintpaw didn't know it.
Hawkpaw was waiting for his chance, but, his mind was racing. The cats weren't ThunderClan, and he had no want to anger the rival clan. But, he couldn't ignore the she-cat. Doing a quick scent check over, he knew that they were of apprentice age, near six moons, but, they seemed to have no training, and that only made him more sure that, either he had to help, or Flamepaw would have his pelt. He didn't think much of Mintpaw, as usual. She often just focused on he and Flamepaw - they were the better fighters.
Flamepaw let out a yowl, hoping to, if anything, draw the fox's attention. It would give Hawkpaw a chance to attack, and Flamepaw wished she could have connected with Mintpaw the way she did with Hawkpaw. Mintpaw was least useful in a fight and would be better for the job of distracting, but, she couldn't, and this would work fine. Feeling the need for emphasis, Flamepaw leaped forward and swiped at the distracted fox's' paw, leaping back and growling, willing the best to turn towards her.

The she-cats were shocked at the arrival of the 3 cats. Moon jumped off the fox and leaped back on multiple times, hoping the aggressive jumping would tire the fox. Leaf didn't understand what her sister was doing, so she tried to fight and think at the same time. Who are those cats and why aren't they helping us? Are they waiting for the fox to leave so they can kill us then? she thought. Moon then caught the strangers' scent. If was familiar and heartbreaking, how the story had come back so easily when she had forced it to the corners of her mind with difficulty. But there was a glimmer of hope in the dark tale. These cats smell like my mother. They might be from Thunderclan! she realized. But as it dawned on her that these cats might be what she was looking for, the fox slammed her between a tree and his side. She saw her vision fade and the last sound she heard was her sister's familiar voice crying "No!"
[Just to let you know, she's only unconscious, not dead.]

Seeing the fox slam the cat into the tree, Flamepaw and Hawkpaw saw their chance. Hawkpaw brought his claws down it's haunches, but as it spun to attack him, claws seared across it's muzzle and teeth bit at it's neck. Giving out a cry of pain, it shook it's head, blood flying from side to side, but, Flamepaw was already off it. Just as it was charging the small black apprentice, Hawkpaw sunk his teeth into the foxes back leg, right above it's paw. The fox let out a howl and it's leg gave out underneath it. They didn't need to chase it - the fox was running away, nowhere near the ShadowClan border, and it wouldn't be stupid enough to come back. Flamepaw thanked StarClan it was young, a bit less then twice her side. Mintpaw store horrified, leaping backwards. She didn't know what had really happened. They weren't using the correct battle training, but, the two of them had pulled off the strategy well, though Mintpaw could see a tear on Flamepaw's shoulder, though it wasn't bleeding much, and a cut on Hawkpaw's thigh and one above his eyes, which was bleeding a bit more, but, the tom easily ignored it.
"Well?" Hawkpaw challenged, "You couldn't bother to help?" Mintpaw felt herself shrink back with a mumbled sorry, and was glad for Flamepaw's intrusion. The black apprentice had turned to the rogues, and Mintpaw didn't want to know the look on her face, shrinking back behind her siblings. Hawkpaw, luckily, decided that he'd rather be Flamepaw's little helper again then tell her what she should have done. Mintpaw looked at the ground ashamed.
Flamepaw looked at the cat on the ground, but, was rather sure the cat wasn't dead. However, the cats were young, but so was the fox. She was finding the tear on her shoulder painful, but, bearable, and the cut on her face was more annoying. Her mind as wondering ahead. The rouges were the first question, but, they'd have to tell Midnightstar and Miststar, for they had been on ThunderClan's territory and fought a fox, though Flamepaw would explain the creature was young, and if it hadn't been, she was pretty sure her and Hawkpaw would have lost, if not never attacking to begin with. Thinking through it quickly, Flamepaw ended up with the first question. "I have no right to be asking this on ThunderClan territory, being a ShadowClan cat, but may I ask why rogues are fighting a fox in ThunderClan's territory?"

Leaf had jumped off of the fox as soon as Moon had been hurt. She was standing by her sister, crying. "Wake up, Moon. I can't lose you too. C'mon, wake up! You can't leave me! Moon, wake up." she sobbed. She then looked at the strangers, ignoring the question. "Can't you do anything about this?!?" she screamed. Tears streamed down and plopped on the ground at Leaf's feet.

Flamepaw didn't snarl, but frowned. "ShadowClan camp is too far away, and I couldn't find ThunderClan if I tried. I'm not a medicine cat, so to tell you the truth, no." The black she-cat meowed, eyes narrowed in thought, before just shaking her head. "Mintpaw, go see if you can find Hawknight. Tell her what happened, but, come quickly." The black apprentice was still frowning, thinking. But, despite the small amount of time she'd spent with the medicine cat, she didn't know how to handle this. The only simple thing that the apprentice remembered was that cobweb stopped bleeding wounds, and that wasn't even helpful in this situation.
Mintpaw nodded meekly, still shaking and ran off towards ShadowClan territory. Hawkpaw frowned, his face a near mimic of Flamepaw's. Actually, if the cat got better anytime soon, maybe it was not a good idea to get Hawknight. The sharp-tongued medicine cat was not helpful with that kind of thing. He and Flamepaw would have dealt with this better on ShadowClan's land, but for now, it would do. [Hawknight and Mintpaw will poof into my next post. Do you want anything to be wrong with Moon or just unconsciousness?]

[Something wrong, please.]
Leaf's ears perked up at the mention of the word 'clan'. "Wait. You said clan. Do you mean Thunderclan, Riverclan, Windclan and Shadowclan?" she asked, hoping the answer was yes. If she's...gone, at least we were close. So, so close, she thought, tears still staining her cheeks.

[What wrong? Amnesia(comes back in a day or two), death(not the funnest), perhaps a broken bone somewhere(This would be likely), or anything else you can think of.] Flamepaw nodded. "Yeah, the clans. We're standing on ThunderClan ground right now. Hawkpaw, Mintpaw, and I are ShadowClan cats, but, we smelt the fox from the border." Flamepaw meowed. "Probably a good thing. Most of our clan-mates are.... well, lets just say ShadowClan has a bad reputation. We're not supposed to be here, but, we heard you and fox. It's the job of a warrior to help, even if we're still apprentices." Hawkpaw nodded, pulling his paw over the wound above his eye. "We're clan cats."
Mintpaw gasped, exhausted from the run, her small lungs pulling in breath. "I found Hawknight..... Luckily near border......" Hawknight ran in after Mintpaw, her brown/black tabby pelt and sharp green eyes emerging from the foliage. "ThunderClan will have our pelts....." She hissed, but, stopped as she saw Moon. Her ears pressed back and she joined Leaf at the young cats' side. Her ears flicked back, a spark of worry in her eyes. "Something's wrong."

"Well, obviously." Leaf meowed. "She just fought a fox with less training than me! And I don't know anything!" she hissed, clearly annoyed at the brown/black tabby that seemed to be in charge. "Go on, fix her!" Leaf continued, her green eyes gleaming with hatred. Somehow she knew she shouldn't like these cats.

"I'm not a miracle worker. I can't fix what I don't know what's wrong. And why in StarClan's name was she fighting a fox? Any smart cat would have ran." Hawknight meowed, apparently multitasking - insulting while checking over the she-cat. Hawknight was used to being not trusted. She wasn't trusted by her ShadowClan clan mates. And, no surprise, was not trusted because of her ShadowClan blood. What a joke. Really, she figured she ought to tell the she-cat that, and she would. Anger bubbled in her. Young rouges who didn't even know how to fight were in no position to tell a medicine cat what to do, much less this medicine cat. She could feel the apprentices, all except for Mintpaw bristling behind her. Her eyes found the problem. "Still breathing, but, this leg is... Twisted wrong. Broken, I'm sure." The medicine cat meowed. "Flamepaw, go get cobwebs, Mintpaw, small, short sturdy stick." The two ran off.
Hawkpaw bristled, glaring at she-cat. "Just who do think you are? Flamepaw I didn't have to run across the border to save your sorry life, Hawknight didn't have to show up to help. That gives you a wonderful reason to tell us exactly what to do. We will spend our lives as warriors, and if that means nothing to you, then you can't expect us to help you." He hissed angrily. Without Mintpaw or Flamepaw to stop him or get him to be just a bit nicer, he could say what was on his mind. Hawknight still was focused on the unconscious cat, but, saw to reason to tell Hawkpaw off. She could be quite a demon with words herself.

"I know, it's just that Moon's sort of my only family. If she ever left me, I would be alone. I'll make this up to you, but I'm not going to stop caring for my sister because you tell me to." Leaf hissed. Do all clan cats think like this? I hope not, she thought, still glaring at the apprentice.

Hawkpaw snarled back, "You think I have parents and friends? Flamepaw and Mintpaw are all I have. But, I wouldn't be acting like a fox-heart if one of them were hurt." Flamepaw darted back into the clearing, Mintpaw close behind. The bundle of cobwebs was gripped carefully behind Flamepaw's sharp teeth and she set it down next to Hawknight gingerly. Mintpaw dropped the stick carefully, but, shakily. Hawkpaw quickly padded back over to his siblings.
Hawknight didn't nod in thanks, but, she never did. Taking the stick she hissed, "At least an unconscious cat doesn't need poppyseeds." Taking the stick, she carefully moved the she-cat's leg back into a correct position, trying to carefully straighten it a little, hoping above all the cat didn't wake up. This would hurt. A lot. Taking the stick, she pressed it against the bone to keep the leg straight, and then took cobweb and, very tightly, tied the stick into place.

Leaf tried to ignore the apprentice's comment, but it kept gnawing at her. No parents? No friends? These aren't the clans my mother talked about. she thought. She watched Hawknight place the stick against the bone, but was interrupted by a small yowl of pain. "Moon!" she cried, getting closer to her sister. "What's going on?" Moon meowed, looking at the unfamiliar cats around her.

"Foxdung." Hawknight hissed, carefully setting down the she-cats leg. "Please, stay still, at least for now. Fox fights aren't the best way for young cats to have fun." Hawkpaw and Flamepaw respectfully took a step back, waiting for Hawknight's orders. Mintpaw though, slunk a bit closer. She really was glad her littermates had stepped back. They just had a rather harsh presence, magnified by their new face tears. [Well, you need them to get into ThunderClan*has read plot* So...... I'll end up sending Hawk/Flame to get hopefully Midnightstar and Applehoney. Mint will report to ShadowClan.]
