Hawknight still had things to do. Luckily though, the catmint was in high supply, and they had a rather nice amount of marigold, and they weren't running low on many herbs at all, which made her rather happy. But Hawknight's mind was wandering, specifically to one thing; Apprentices. She'd never thought much about it before. She'd always simply found herself too young for such things. But, after looking into it a bit, there was only one medicine cat older then her, the ThunderClan medicine cat. She was surprised. And so the idea of an apprentice had not been shoved off with an I'm too young. Now it came into her mind with a bit more force. Should she really start thinking about training an apprentice? 19 moons was rather young, but, it was really as good a time as ever. It wasn't like she'd gain experience. But really, an apprentice?
When she thought about it, she found no reason to wait. If she found the right cat, then she would, and if she didn't... Well, she'd wait till she got old. And maybe, she thought, with a bit of surprise, she was afraid. The clan needed her now, but after she had trained an apprentice, would she really be needed any more? She wasn't likable, but, she'd always thought that she did a rather good job. But if a kinder cat could do it, then........ they had no reason to keep the sharp tongued medicine cat. And she didn't have a place anywhere else. But if the right cat came along, maybe not the kind heart and soul expected of a medicine cat, but the intelligence then she would. Of course, Hawknight might try to choose some cat like her. In a way, she thought she did better then soft kind cats.
Pushing her thoughts away, Hawknight settled into a rhythmic motion of herb sorting, trying to occupy herself, but, it didn't stray far from her mind.

~MistStar~ Silently he walked into the Medicine Cat's den. His presents was as silent as a shadow at sun-high. Silently he stood in the shadows waiting for the medicine cat to finish the tasks at paw of taking a inventory count. The only part that would be visible to any cat from where he was in the darkest part of the suffocating shadows were his pale haunting eyes. This was a simple prank he used to pull on his den mates while they were kits and apprentices. He figured the medicine cat seemed too engrossed in her work and that she would possibly need a break. Silently, he waited for the she-cat to notice him.

Hawknight frowned, sniffing at the pile of leaves for a few seconds before pulling a dock leaf out of her tansy supply. "If any of those kits were in my den again...." She hissed to herself, and gave the herbs another cautious sniff, content that they were in place. For New-Leaf, the herbs were good, and unlike many medicine cats, Hawknight hadn't enjoyed New-Leaf, for it was a time of doing things, and now, unlike most medicine cats, she had a very nice stock. Nodding sharply, Hawknight checked another thing off her mental checklist. Next she would need to gather some cobweb. Maybe she could catch something on the way. The she-cat liked to be rather self-sufficient, only taking from the fresh-kill pile if she couldn't shove a few minutes of hunting into her day, and she would plan on looking for mouse on her trip.
She turned around to see pale yellow eyes and, not really caring who the cat was, almost sighed out loud. None of her clan-mates came in her den on choice, so she had to assume something was wrong. Just another thing to do today. "What is it?" Hawknight meowed, tail lashing on a empty spot on the floor of her den. Interruptions were not a.... desirable thing to the medicine cat, but, it gave her thought away from the subject she'd been thinking about, and she was, if not glad, relieved for that.

~MistStar~ A deep rumbling chuckle escaped the tom's voice box. He dipped his head and came out of the shadows revealing who he was and that his medical condition was in tip-top shape. He sat off the side of the Hawknight in the possibility she had wanted to leave to do what ever medicine cats did in their free time. His jet black tail curled neatly around his paws. Pale eyes slowly opened his pupils rapidly changing from snake eye slits to a pointed oval. They traveled along the den taking note on how clean the den always was. He straightened out his back. It was a rare event the leader ever took time away from his busy life, and the others who were doing what they could to survive. "I just figured you may need some help, that's all, Hawknight. So, is there anything you would like to have me do? Since you do not have an apprentice yet, today I shall be yours to boss around. I'd take opportunity of this moment." he chuckled his eyes not moving from the medicine cat's brilliant blue eyes.

Hawknight either didn't notice, or, more likely, didn't care that the cat was Miststar. The mention of apprentices worried her a bit, but, after he continued, Hawknight was more relaxed. She often didn't whether cats would bother to even say hi, but, she was surprised at his offer of help. "Well, I need cobwebs, marigold and colts' foot isn't going to help any cat if they're bleeding to death. It's gathered the same as moss, and it works better if not torn, and preferably without spiders." She meowed. After that was done, Hawknight found her mental checklist was currently empty if gathering cobwebs was out of the equation, and a spark of surprise registered in her eyes. She didn't often have nothing to do. But, she didn't need to gather anymore herbs, or they would get too stale.
"Any battles that have been randomly chosen to happen recently that I should know of? Or are we pretty much at a time of piece right now?" Hawknight meowed. if there was some other stupid battle plan to happen soon, Hawknight would have to add to her oddly vacant checklist. If not...... Hawknight had no answer to that question.

~MistStar~ He went over the reviews he had gotten from the boarder patrols and hunters. There was no issues yet. But the air around camp felt tensioned. It was too calm and he didn't know what would happened. Well, no battle is planed. I believe after the cobwebs are collected you have a day off. The only thing I can think of is this feeling in the air. I feel it may bring some troubles. he said making note on how to collect cobwebs, since this would be his first time and he had never been taught to be gentle, only forceful and dangerous.

"Alas, I cannot base herb collecting on feeling. It would get stale." Hawknight meowed. She still felt surprised that everything was done. The pre-prepared nests for any cat who got hurt or sick were neat and empty. The herbs were all neatly piled, far apart enough that there was a paw's width place between them. Everything was done. Hawknight still couldn't believe it. Even so, something would soon get not done again, whether it be an apprentice with a thorn in his/her paw, or a badger, something would probably soon have to be done. But the emptiness of things to do was what she had now.

~MistStar~ There was nothing she could do with a feeling in the air. Miststar knew that. The feeling could have just been a charge in the air from an on-coming thunder storm. Starclan hadn't alerted him of any battles. Hawknight hadn't had a dream or meeting with them either. Then again, it seemed like Shadowclan was the clan that was least likely to be notified by Starclan, besides the deceased clan members from Shadowclan. He turned his gaze to Hawknight. Hey, Hawknight? Have you spoken to Starclan recently? he asked not really knowing what to think. It wasn't like he was a cat who spoke and asked for their guidance often.

Hawknight frowned at the question. "No, not recently. I could go to the Moonstone if you feel that I should." The she-cat would not mind, might even enjoy a chance to see their ancestors again. Plus, she had time to make the journey to Moonstone to see if anything important was happening that she should know about. And she hadn't spoken to StarClan in a while, and she would take any chance to meet with them again. Her eyes revaled a little of this wish, but, not much.

~MistStar~ That was something strange indeed. They haven't spoken to me. I dunno if you should. If you feel safe crossing the Thunderpath with all the monsters I guess you could. We are the closest clan so the journey isn't that far. If you would like, I could escort you across the Thunderpath. He spoke in a haze while he was deep in thought. His nine lives were given to him to protect the clan. Wasn't talking to Starclan and protecting the only cat who knew how to heal them protecting them? Besides that fact, he had nine lives still intact while Hawknight only had one.

Hawknight dipped her head. "It may be good - I have no other duties that are currently important, so now would be better then anytime else." The medicine cat meowed. She would enjoy the chance, and, considering how things were usually, the emptiness of her to-do list could be a sign. Hawknight found that a bit funny. It was that much out of the ordinary.

~MistStar~ Slowly, his midnight-black head bobbed up and down nodding in agreement. His shocking yellow eyes closed as he bowed his head and lowered his thin-short furred tail to the ground. It was just barley hovering over the dirt floor. His massive paw slowly raised off the floor as he allowed it to show the she-cat out of the den. It was a simple sign of respect, but he felt the cats with-in his clan deserved that little amount of respect, since they were always the big, bad, evil clan passed down to kits in the other clans.

Quickly she grabbed a few juniper berries for the journey, though it was small. Hawknight dipped her head, sliding past the much larger tom out into camp. Blinking a bit in the light of camp, though it was much darker then anything in ThunderClan or WindClan or RiverClan had. There was something about the prospect of seeing StarClan that made the she-cat a bit happier.Even she couldn't find anything wrong with going to the Moonstone and it was a good time - she felt it- even if they couldn't tell her anything.

~MistStar~ He smiled and laughed a little as the medicine cat seemed to have a gleeful prance in her step. He then walked out of the den after taking one last look around the den. Going off territory was what he wanted to do. At the same time, he also felt like being rebellious like the old days when the apprentices used to make fun of the others for being scared to cross the ThunderPath that was in the way of the Gathering and the isolation of ShadowClan.
